What is MOPS? MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry, and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped, and to find our identity by journeying alongside one another.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, but is for moms of ALL ages and walks of life. (We know it’s a little confusing, so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”) As long as a woman is pregnant/adopting with her first or has a child (from birth to adult) she can be a member of MOPS. The meetings are twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15 (with childcare drop-off beginning at 9:00 a.m.).

What goes on at the meetings? Lots of laughs, tears, understanding women, good food, and brilliant speakers! Meetings begin with announcements/devotions and table talk followed by brunch and a speaker. We wrap up with questions, more talk, and clean-up.

What about my kids?  Childcare, which is referred to as MOPPETS, is offered for children 6 weeks to Kindergarten during the meetings so each mom can focus on herself during those two hours. In MOPPETS, children are provided with a snack, games, lessons, crafts, and lots of love! Each MOPPETS classroom is lead and planned by the same devoted leaders and assistants each session. Babies 0 to 6 months stay with mom during meetings if need be.

Do members meet outside of the meetings?  Yes! Play dates and social fun for moms are planned throughout the year, everything from dinners out to holiday cooking exchanges to wrapping parties to movie nights.

Can I be part of the leadership team?  Absolutely! We are on the search for women to flourish in roles from event planning, creative activities, MOPPETS coordinator, budgeting/fundraising and so much more! Be part of something new that you can make your own!

How do I become a MOPS member? Good question! Read on for more information….

In order to unfold our wings this year, we will be exploring our freedom as women. We will explore different themes each month through discussion, speakers, crafts and book clubs.

What do you long for? What is the thing that your heart craves? Is it possible that your deepest desire is to be free?

Free from worry. Free from feeling stuck. Free from hustling to be loved. Free from a heaviness you can’t put your finger on. Free from thinking you should be someone other than exactly who you are. At the core, maybe what we are all longing for is to be Free Indeed.

Choosing freedom is a deeply spiritual act, one that our souls long for. That is why this year, we choose wild, unexpected freedom; the kind that brings more laughter and less worry, more contentment and less hustle. Freedom that is so contagious, the people around us are compelled toward their own liberation.
