Ash Wednesday: "Ashes to Go" and Worship Ash Wednesday (Feb. 14) marks the beginning of the Lenten season that precedes Easter. For centuries, Christians have marked their foreheads with the ashes of burnt palm fronds to acknowledge our dependence upon God for life and salvation.
